Christiano Ronald Leaves Portugal Training Camp After Coach’s Press Conference

Portugal international Christiano Ronald has left the national team training camp following the head coach’s press conference and a subsequent conversation with the president of the Portuguese Football Federation.

Ronald announced her departure in a statement but did not immediately disclose what prompted the decision, saying she would later explain the circumstances that led her to leave the squad.

“After the National Team coach’s press conference, and following a conversation with the President of the Portuguese Football Federation, I have decided to leave the National Team training camp,” Ronald said.

The player said she would reveal more details in due course, promising to tell Portuguese supporters what led to her departure from a national team she said she had always been committed to.

“In due time, I will tell all Portuguese people the truth about the reasons that led to my departure from the national team, to which I have always dedicated myself,” she said.

Ronald ended her statement by wishing Portugal and her teammates success.

“Now is the time to wish good luck to Portugal and to all my teammates,” she added.

The circumstances surrounding Ronald’s decision to leave the camp were not immediately clear.
