TECNO to unveil borderless phone, 360-degree laptop at IFA 2026

Chinese technology company TECNO will showcase a new range of smartphones, laptops and smart devices at IFA ShowStoppers 2026 in Berlin, as manufacturers intensify competition around artificial intelligence, device design and connected technology.

The company will headline its September 3 showcase with the Next-Gen Bezelless Concept Phone, which TECNO says will feature a true 0mm display border, and the MEGABOOK T15 360 Pro, a laptop fitted with a 360-degree hinge and touchscreen.

The showcase comes at a time when technology manufacturers are increasingly exploring thinner devices, flexible form factors and artificial intelligence as they seek to distinguish their products in a crowded consumer electronics market.

TECNO said the event will demonstrate its expanding portfolio of devices targeting work, education, entertainment and content creation.

Chasing the borderless screen

The Next-Gen Bezelless Concept Phone will make its first in-person appearance at IFA ShowStoppers 2026.

The concept follows TECNO’s Modular Concept Phone, which the company showcased at Mobile World Congress earlier this year.

According to TECNO, the new smartphone seeks to address one of the remaining visual limitations of full-screen phones—the narrow border between the active display and the device’s outer frame.

The company says its engineers have reworked the phone’s internal stacking, structural design and screen packaging to achieve what it describes as a true 0mm display border.

The approach is aimed at creating a more immersive viewing experience and bringing smartphones closer to an edge-to-edge display.

The development comes as smartphone manufacturers continue to compete over screen-to-body ratios, thickness and display technology, driven partly by growing demand for phones for video, gaming, photography, social media and content creation.

Laptop designed to change form

TECNO will also use the Berlin showcase to present its latest MEGABOOK computers, led by the MEGABOOK T15 360 Pro.

The 15.6-inch laptop is TECNO’s first to combine a 360-degree hinge with 10-point touchscreen interaction, allowing users to switch between different configurations depending on how they intend to use the device.

It is powered by an Intel Core Ultra processor with an integrated neural processing unit (NPU), which is designed to handle certain artificial intelligence workloads, and comes with a 70Wh battery.

The laptop features a 2.5K display with a 120Hz refresh rate and optional support for an MPP 2.0 active pen.

TECNO is positioning the machine for productivity, education, creative work and entertainment.

The company will also display the MEGABOOK K15S WCL, aimed at everyday computing, and the MEGABOOK T17 Ultra, which targets consumers seeking a larger display and higher performance.

The T17 Ultra will be TECNO’s first 17-inch laptop. It will feature Intel Meteor Lake Ultra processing with NPU capabilities, a 99.99Wh battery and 100W GaN fast charging.

Italian design partnership

TECNO’s showcase will also feature products developed through its partnership with Italian luxury design brand Tonino Lamborghini.

Among the products is the TECNO POVA 8 PRO 5G Tonino Lamborghini Limited Edition, scheduled for launch on September 4.

TECNO said the smartphone combines the Italian brand’s design influence with a dual-chipset architecture, Sony imaging sensors and artificial intelligence features.

The partnership will extend to tablets, with the TECNO MEGAPAD 2 Tonino Lamborghini Limited Edition expected in the fourth quarter.

The tablet will have an 11-inch 2.5K eye-care display and carry the design identity of the collaboration.

The companies will also showcase a compact gaming computer, the Tonino Lamborghini TECNO TAURUS, also known as the MEGA MINI G1 Pro. The machine features an all-metal body, water cooling and RGB lighting.

 Expanding beyond smartphones

TECNO will further display the **CAMON Slim 5G, CAMON Slim, MEGAPAD SE 2, Watch 4 and Buds 5, reflecting the company’s push to expand beyond its traditional smartphone business.

The CAMON Slim 5G has a claimed thickness of 6.39mm and incorporates imaging and AI features. The standard CAMON Slim has the same thickness, a 3D-curved unibody design and a 50MP Sony LYTIA 600 Ultra Night Camera.

The MEGAPAD SE 2 is designed for study and everyday productivity, with AI functions aimed at supporting users with various tasks.

Meanwhile, the Watch 4 targets fitness and outdoor activities, while the Buds 5 offers up to 50 hours of playback, according to the company. Its charging case can also be used as a phone stand.

The wider product range signals TECNO’s effort to build an ecosystem of devices around its smartphone business, connecting products used for communication, work, study, entertainment and content creation.

For consumers in markets such as Uganda, where smartphones and computers are increasingly used for work, education, digital communication and entertainment, developments showcased at major technology exhibitions such as IFA offer an indication of the features and form factors likely to shape the next generation of consumer devices.

TECNO will exhibit at Hall 5.3, Tables 501 and 503, at Berlin Messe on September 3 from 6pm to 9pm.
