Muhoza’s Wings of Hope project
Muhoza, who was crowned Miss Uganda 2025/26 in September 2025, has built her international pageant platform around community advocacy and social empowerment.
An aviation graduate of the Uganda Aviation Academy, she developed Wings of Hope under the *Empowering Mothers in Uganda* initiative to address challenges faced by single mothers and survivors of gender-based violence.
The project focuses on vocational training, skills development and mentorship to help women achieve economic independence.
Muhoza also advocates for increased access to education for women and girls, particularly in technical and vocational fields traditionally dominated by men
Through the initiative, she seeks to tackle the link between economic dependency and vulnerability to domestic violence by equipping women with practical skills and opportunities to become financially independent.
A direct route to the Miss World Top 40
Beauty With a Purpose is one of the key components of the Miss World competition, giving contestants an opportunity to showcase community projects aimed at addressing social challenges in their home countries.
The winner of the African continental BWAP group will earn an automatic place in the Miss World Top 40, giving Muhoza a potentially significant advantage in her quest for the crown.
Her selection among Africa’s final six places Uganda in contention for another strong showing at the global pageant, where the country’s representatives have increasingly used their platforms to highlight social and community causes.
For Muhoza, the BWAP qualification puts her Wings of Hope initiative on an international stage while bringing Uganda one step closer to the Miss World crown.
